Luteal phase support is the administration of medications, most importantly progesterone, to increase the success rate of implantation, support early embryogenesis and healthy pregnancy. Although LPS modalities and lengths are similar, different doses, durations and types of treatments may differ from woman to woman.

Different group of medications used during luteal phase support

Below medications are used to improve the implantation

  • Progestron (injection & vaginal)
  • Estrogen (oral)
  • Human chorionic gonadotrophin (injection)

Below medication are used to prevent miscarriage due to blood clots

  • Clexane (injection)
  • Coraspin (oral)

Below vitamin is used to prevent nueral tube defects

  • Folic acid (oral)
